جرم شناسی صلح طلب
Daniel Van Ness and Karen Heetderks Strong's Restoring Justice successful- ly presents the case for a different way of thinking about crime known as restorative justice (a part of peacemaking criminology).
Steinberg's The Ethnic Myth supports peacemaking criminology.
He also indicates how many social scien- tists were not and are not willing to place responsibility for America's racial problems on political and economic institutions. 2 In agreement with Stein- berg, Peacemaking Criminology argues that political and economic institu- tions in the United States are mainly responsible for suffering and oppression (in this case, racial oppression).
Peacemaking Criminology maintains that instead of blaming black single mothers, it would be wiser to direct our research at examining socioeconomic conditions, such as economic inequal- ity, imbalances of power, poverty, unemployment, underemployment, and relative deprivation-in income, housing, health care, and education.
Peacemaking Criminology points out that other acts and programs need to be developed and supported in order for affirmative action to successfully correct past and present discrimination.
